May 9 or 10: Day Workshop
June 13-14: Overnight Retreat
If you sometimes wonder just how much you're worth as a woman, this is the place for you!
Meals and materials are provided
Are you tired, stressed or just plain confused
by the day? This is a safe place to share ideas
and strategies -- and learn a few new ones too!
This is an overnight retreat with intense learning & discussion. Geared to mature Believers, we will be
teaching on the Holy Spirit dwelling in
us, and how that empowers us through
Christ. No lukewarm living for us!
Designed for anyone that is struggling through loss - whether the wound is fresh, or decades old. How can we say goodbye when we just weren't ready? There is a time to mourn, and a way to be restored.
Deborah was a warrior, and God used her in a mighty way. Some of us are called to the home, some to the pulpit -- but there are no limits on what God can do in our lives. Time to armor up and walk in our giftings!
Single Day Workshops are $75 per participant, and capped at 20 attendees per day for a more intimate learning experience.
Overnight Retreats are from Friday early afternoon - Saturday evening, and are $150 per participant. Retreats are capped at 10 attendees because of the intense nature of the study and sharing.
Please send an email or give us a call. It's a great place to plan your own unique retreat or get-away.
Our vision is to provide an affordable sanctuary for groups, and individuals that are looking for sound biblical teaching and a place for healing and restoration. Or just for a place to decompress. We are now offering 1-day workshops, as well as multiple day small group retreats. Please sign up to be notified of all upcoming events.
Arukah is a Hebrew word that means "healing, restoration, wholeness, health, made up, perfected." After many years of looking for places to hold weekend retreats and events, we realized the vision was bigger than that... We needed a property devoted full time to the healing and restoration of God's people. And so in late 2021, we began the search for just the right property -- for a place that we knew God would anoint and make holy ground. In 2023 we received our 501(c)3 status so charges to groups or individuals are nominal - or non-existent. It is the prayer that anyone in need will be able to come and find peace, without the added burden of financial considerations.
Arukah House is a sanctuary. We will be offering multi-day retreats, weekly bible studies and group meetings, and will be opening the home to anyone who needs to re-set and find a quiet place to seek God's face. We are also planning services and events, including weekly worship services, prayer groups, and community outreach programs. Our services are designed to provide support and guidance to individuals on their spiritual journey towards a fuller life in Christ.
The property is still a work in progress, and work needs to be done. But thanks to you donations of time, money, materials and prayer, God is already doing an amazing work here! We're far from perfect, but it's clearly holy ground.

We knew it would be a huge challenge when we purchased Arukah House, but my oh my the mess. This is what we walked into. Stay tuned for the amazing and God-inspired transformation we're undergoing. It's a big job, but nothing is too big for the God we serve.
Exciting times -- key day is coming up. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit apprehensive, but I'm also very excited about what God is planning for this venture. I can do all things through CHRIST!!
Well... now we're really getting a feel for how much is going to need to be done. I am so anxious to have it completed. I'd really love to love to be planning my first retreat, but God is teaching me patience and trust above all other things. We have quite a laundry list of expenses that will need to be addressed, but I have faith that it will all be provided in just the right time! Mess to Masterpiece.
In spite of all the mess, we can't help but see the beauty in this place. Everyone who comes to Arukah House comments on the sense of peace and the natural beauty of this place. God is building His sanctuary, one removed bag of trash at a time.
The first big hurdle was the amount of furniture, garbage and debris that needed to be removed. Nearly $1500 just in dump fees alone.
You can't help but appreciate the beauty of this property, even if we recognize that cleanup alone is a HUGE undertaking. And we're coming to grips with our neighbors -- I guess we're really the intruders. We have a family of mountain lions living in the gully down below (never see them, thank You Jesus!), and we've found you do not ever leave out any food scraps or garbage because there are critters just longing to make the mess worse - lol!! The eggs from our neighbors chickens are a bonus!
You're getting a blow by blow right now, because we are hoping to document the process and the progress. I'm sure I'll slow down when things start getting a bit more complicated. I really do need a social media expert -- maybe some eager 15-year old? Still, every day brings new joy, new challengs and new help. We're so grateful.
So we were just feeling pretty spectacular about the mess being gone when the Septic began to act up in the worst possible way. We have a plumber coming out next week to assess the actual issue, but I'm guessing we will need to rehab the septic and leach lines sooner rather than later. Yikes!
I'll tell you the truth, I'm a bit weary. But that doesn't diminish my excitement or the dim the vision that God has given me. We got some fairly bad news about the Septic and plumbing... more soon... and they suspended burning permits because of the warm weather. That's going to be a financial blow because now we'll have to haul out the brush instead of burning it. But we had a fun project with the windows. You have to be creative when your rehabbing a 70-year old home.
